WORLD WATER DAY – 2025 CELEBRATION AT NAVODAYA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
On 22nd March 2025 at Navodaya Institute of Technology (NIT) proudly celebrated World Water Day 2025, highlighting the significance of water conservation and sustainable management. The event was graced by Shri K. Gurulingappa, Assistant Executive Engineer,KBJNL Irrigation Department, as the Chief Guest.
In his keynote address, Shri Gurulingappa emphasized the importance of efficient water management, rainwater harvesting, and sustainable irrigation practices for the agriculture purpose in addressing water scarcity. He encouraged students and faculty to contribute to innovative water conservation solutions.
Dr. Mallikarjuna, Principal of NIT, stressed the need for technological advancements in water resource management and urged students to explore research opportunities in sustainable water solutions.
To mark the occasion, a quiz competition and a poster presentation were organized for students, promoting awareness and creativity in water conservation. Students actively participated, showcasing innovative ideas on water sustainability, climate resilience, and smart water management.
The program was attended by faculty members, students, and dignitaries from various departments, reinforcing the institute’s commitment to Environmental sustainability and responsible water usage.
